Chin Leng Lim is the Choh-Ming Li Professor of Law at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, an associé of the Institut de droit international, visiting professor at King’s College London, honorary senior fellow of the British Institute of International and Comparative Law, and an editorial board member of the I.C.L.Q. His publications include the Cambridge Companion to International Arbitration (Cambridge, 2021), with a foreword by Lord Neuberger; InternationalInvestment Law and Arbitration (Cambridge, 2d. ed., 2021), with a foreword by Gaillard; and“The Aims and Methods of Postcolonial International Law”, Recueil des cours (Collected Coursesof the Hague Academy of International Law), vol. 437, 2024, 9-193. He practises as a barrister from Keating Chambers, London; has acted as counsel, arbitrator, or expert in various international arbitrations; and he has been nominated to act as presiding arbitrator, co-arbitrator, or sole arbitrator by parties and institutions such as the PCA. Professor Lim is appointed to the European Commission’s list of persons suitable for appointment as chairperson for arbitrations under the EU's bilateral trade agreements. He is a member of the ICC/UNIDROIT Working Groupon International Investment Contracts, and has attended UNCITRAL Working Group III regularly on behalf of an observer entity.
