The Academy has received strong support from the International Court of Justice (the “ICJ”). Three ICJ Judges and former Presidents are members of the Curatorium. Nine ICJ Judges have visited and lectured at the Academy, including four then or former Presidents of the ICJ. Registrar of the ICJ, Prof. Philippe COUVREUR also lectured at the Academy. On their visit to the Academy, the ICJ Judges not only attend the Summer Programme and give lectures, but also contribute to the development of the Academy, including suggesting various means of cooperation to further support its mission and goal.
