XIAMEN ACADEMY OF INTERNATIONAL LAW
19th Summer Programme (2026)

Xiamen Academy of International Law (Xiamen Academy) is an international institution aiming to provide the highest level of legal education to individuals interested in the development and application of international law, such as young lecturers, diplomats, practitioners of law, government officials in charge of foreign affairs, and officials from international organizations. The courses are delivered in English, and have been designed to be both scholarly and practical. Xiamen Academy has successfully convened and hosted eighteen summer programmes (from 2006), which have featured more than ninety world-renowned international law professors, ICJ judges and experts from around the world.
Xiamen Academy is pleased to accept applications for the 19th Summer Programme (2026).

Applicants should be:
(1) law students; or
(2) teachers, lawyers, or officials, etc. with at least a bachelor’s degree; and
(3) fluent in English.
Registration fee
For Chinese attendees, including attendees from Mainland China, Hong Kong SAR, Macau SAR and Chinese Taipei:
(1) University Students: RMB 1,000; or
(2) University Teachers: RMB 2,000; or
(3) Others: RMB 3,000.
For Non-Chinese attendees: RMB 4,000.
Registration fees covers course materials, but does not cover any other expenses including but not limited to accommodation, transport, etc.
Scholarships
Xiamen Academy provides limited number of scholarships to qualified applicants based on financial need and merit.
A-type scholarship includes:
(1) Full exemption of the registration fee;
(2) A limited subsidy for the trip to and from the recipient’s city to Xiamen:
a. RMB 3,000 for recipients from Asian countries (excluding recipients from China), or
b. RMB 4,500 for recipients from non-Asian countries, or
c. Full reimbursement of round-trip hard-seat train tickets or second class seat D-Train (Dongche) tickets for recipients from Mainland China, or
d. Reimbursement of travel expenses up to RMB 1,500 for recipients from Hong Kong SAR, Macau SAR and Chinese Taipei.
B-type scholarship includes full exemption of the registration fee.
